SeaBerry Rental Policy

Rent

SeaBerry is available for monthly rentals, June through October. The current rent for SeaBerry is $1,200 (USD) per month, specifically the 4-week period beginning on the 1st and ending on the 28th of each month, including utilities (phone, cable TV, and internet service are not provided). There is a $100 surcharge for the months of June and October to cover the additional costs of heating. You are welcome to use the cottage for the entire month or for just a few days, but the rent is the same. If you know you will not be using the cottage for the entire rental period, please let us know. We will not rent it to anyone else during that month (just in case you are so captivated by the place you change your mind and want to stay longer!), but it helps to know when the cottage is available to us for mowing, maintenance, repairs, etc.

Reservations

As soon as you let us know you are interested in renting SeaBerry for a particular month, we will put you on the calendar – in pencil. To guarantee your reservation, we require a $400 deposit, no later than 4 months in advance of the beginning of the rental period. So for a rental beginning July 1, your deposit is due by March 1, of the same year. We cannot guarantee the reservation for you until the deposit is received. If someone else requests that month before we receive your deposit, we will let you know and you can decide whether to send the deposit early or cancel. The balance of the month’s rent ($800) is due upon your arrival.

Please be aware that we give preference for specific months to renters from the previous year. Return renters have until December 10 to reserve SeaBerry for the following year. After January 15, we will notify others on our waiting list of the months that are available for the current year.

We do keep a contingency list, so if the month you want is already reserved, you can request that we put you on that list in case there is a cancellation.

Cancellations

Deposits are fully refundable if a cancellation is received no fewer than 90 days before the start of the rental period. We also understand that emergencies happen and will try to find another renter if less than 90 days’ notice is given. If we are able to rent the cottage to someone else, we will return your deposit.

Restrictions

Smoking, pets, and fires (inside or out) are not permitted at SeaBerry.
